Rosa Ixco
3-K Teacher Assistant
Hello, my name is Rosa Ixco, also known as “Ms. Rosie”. I am currently a 3K Teacher Assistant at Early Bird III Educational Center. I am from Jamaica Queens and am very glad to have found an opportunity to work at a school in my community. I am very grateful to be working with Early Bird III and expanding my knowledge in child education. I have graduated from York College and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. However, my education doesn’t stop there as I want to progress more and go back to school.
As I grew older, I became very passionate and enjoyed caring for and working with children, whether it was babysitting or tutoring. I have gained experience with kids of different ages, but there is always something new to learn from them as well as they learn from us. My ability to speak 2 languages allows me to communicate, help, and connect with the students. I am very creative, active, and patient, and overall want to welcome the students every day with positivity and a safe caring, and loving environment.
When I am not at work, I am always spending time with my family. I love going out to different exciting places with my family. Whether it is in NY or out of State we always enjoy a mini vacation trip together. I also like traveling and eating out in restaurants.
